چکیده
This paper discusses the question of heat flux distribution between bristle package and rotor during a rubbing event. A three-dimensional Computational Fluid Dynamics (3D CFD) model brush seal test rig installed at Institute Thermal Turbomachinery (ITS) was created. The is modelled as porous medium with local non-thermal equilibrium. used to numerically recalculate experimentally conducted rub tests on ITS rig. determined total frictional power loss serves an input parameter numerical calculation. By means statistical evaluation methods, ma in influences maximum temperature contact are determined. conductivity material, transfer coefficients bristles surface were identified dominant factors.

In this work, the effects of electrical double layer (EDL) near the solid/ liquid interface, on three dimensional heat transfer characteristic and pressure drop of water flow through a rectangular microchannel numerically are investigated. An additional body force originating from the existence of EDL is considered to modify the conventional Navier-stokes and energy equations. These modified eq...
متن کاملA Numerical Modeling for Natural Convection Heat Transfer in Porous Media With Generated Internal Heat Sources
In this paper a numerical method is used to study the unsteady state natural convection heat transfer within a confined porous media with uniform internal heat generation. The governing equations based on the Darcy model and Bossiness approximations are solved, using the finite difference Alternating Direction Implicit (ADI) method. The developed program was used to simulate natural convection ...
